NRIC Presentation Ceremony
Students who have reached the age of 15 or will be 15 years old this year and are Singapore citizens were presented with their National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) in a special NRIC Presentation Ceremony, which was held during the morning assembly to present the students their NRIC.
NRIC, which is a form of formal identification for the students, it also symbolises their nationality as young Singaporeans. The NRIC presentation ceremony is to honour citizenship and the privilege of being Singaporeans and to re-affirm our loyalty and allegiance to Singapore. We hope the students understand the significance of the NRIC and proud to be a Singaporean.
It was a proud moment for the students, as they stepped onto the stage to receive their NRICs.
Congratulations to all students who received their NRICs.

Total Defence Day
On 15 February 2007, the school commemorated Total Defence Day. Cadets from the Uniformed Groups namely the NCC, NPCC, Red Cross and Girl Guides participated in a simple but meaningful ceremony. Teacher officers as well as reservists teachers were also part of the contingents. It was really ONE@Hua Yi at its best!!!
On the same day, an In-Place Protection Exercise was conducted. It was a great learning experience for everyone.

Congratulations & Celebrations!
Today, a group of December babies of 1991 were privileged to receive their Identification Cards from our principal, Mrs Leong, during the morning assembly. This is the first time that the school has held such a ceremony which further illustrated the school's resolution of integrating National Education into the school environment.
Every young Singaporean looks forward to receiving their identification cards as this important document truly symbolises their nationality. To all our students, we hope you understand the importance of the identity card and will keep it safely with you always.
Lastly, congratulations to all who have received their identity cards last year. You've made it through a decade and a half! :p
Many decades more to look forward to, I'm sure!
