This competition is organized for the Secondary 2 students to commemorate Racial Harmony Day. The competition is expected to end by 18th July 2008, in conjunction with the celebration of Racial Harmony Day.


Objectives:
· Bonding with different races (Racial Interaction)
· Learn different cultures from different racial groups
· Raise the awareness that everyone of us can play a part in having a stronger social cohesion



Date of competition:
The competition will be held tentatively on 10th July 2008, 2:30PM to 5:30PM



Games played:
GIRLS; Captain’s ball - Each class would have 5 players and one reserve. Each game will last for 10 minutes. The game will be held at the quadrangle. After the game, students would have to answer a 5 question short quiz about the different racial groups.



BOYS; Soccer - Each class would have 5 players and one reserve. Each game will last for 10 minutes, and it will be held at the field. Each game would only be half-field, and cones will be used to mark goal posts. After the game, students would have to answer a 5 question short quiz about the different racial groups.


Requirements for participating groups:
1. Work in groups of 6 per class (one group for soccer, one group for captain’s ball)
2. Groups must consist of people from different races, and also heritages
3. Each member who turns up would be awarded one point each, if not up to requirement, points would be deducted.
4. Each group has to collect $150 in total for the Donation card; Groups that collect more than $200 or more will earn 1 pt for every $50 collected.



Attire:
1)P.E. attire
2)Class t-shirt
3)P.E. shorts
4)Soccer boots are ALLOWED
