Youth Day cum fundraising carnival was celebrated by Hua Yians on 7 July 2012 with high-spirit and excitement. Exciting games and activities, mouth-watering food and delightful beverages were lined up for all to enjoy. A fun-filled morning that brought Hua Yians, families and friends together to raise fund for charity and above all, the carnival promotes the spirits of togetherness and benevolence in Hua Yians.
Haunted House, Tribal War, Tug-of-War, Ring-O, shooting games and many others were enjoyed by all. Spreads of delicious food and beverages such as cotton-candy, popcorns, 'nasi lemak', bread with curry and a few flavoured drinks and popsicles were available to satisfy the tastebuds.
The highlight of the event was the Staff Community Involvement Programme. Each staff had to perform a few sets of exercises in exchange for goodie bags to be donated to selected residents in Ho Ching Road.
Congrats to Sec 2E3 for being the most creative booth, Sec 1E2 for the most popular booth and sec 3E1 for the most environmentally-friendly booth.
Hua Yians displayed the spirit of togetherness with their great teamwork, working together to make the carnival a successful and fun event for everyone. Together, we raised $11 202 for the Community Chest. Great job, Hua Yians!
